Pickleball is an amazing game with many advantages:

  • Super fast learning curve – new players can pick it up and have fun in minutes
  • The game is highly social and supportive, with more experienced players readily welcoming newer players to the game
  • Promotes both physical and mental health

This sounds like the recipe for a perfect active tour. On our Arizona Pickleball Adventure we:

  • Have eight hours of play over four days at Espire Sports, a pickleball complex with indoor and outdoor courts
  • Encourage players from novice to advanced. Even if you are new to pickleball, you will pick it up very quickly. (If you are above a 4.0 in the pickleball rating scale, this might not be advanced enough for you.)
  • Focus on fun and learning. Note this is not about improving your competitive pickleball game for tournament play.
  • Rent multiple courts so everyone can play at the same time.
  • Rotate play so everyone gets to play with everyone else at least once, although we will put players with similar skills on the same court together most often.
  • Invite pickleball pros to provide formal and informal instruction twice during the week.
  • Welcome Diana and Carl Landau to join us on this tour, co-authors of Pickleball for Dummies.
